Literal Meaning

 Not right, but seisin makes a stock (from which the inheritance must descend).

Origin

This is an old maxim which is used in modern times. This maxim is interpreted by many jurists in many cases and precedents.

Explanation

/non jas sed siyzana feysat stipatam/ Not right, but seisin, makes a stock. It is not a mere right to enter on lands, butactual seisin, which makes a person the root or stock from which all future inheritance by right of blood must be derived.
